It’s intrrnals need of a new version soon, but this is the most comprehensive book on OS X out there. Even if I knew Mac OSX came installed with PostGres I would have probably elected to download it myself and sandbox it anyway instead of using the system version, but I didn’t know it came with it.
When I ordered the book from Amazon, I didn’t look at page count, so when I picked up the box from my front porch I thought it couldn’t possibly contain just one book.

The author is a hard-core expert who put a lot into this book. The primary audience among the existing users of Mac OS X are those who wish to have a deep and solid understanding of the system’s composition and working.

I can’t answer OP’s question, but I would point out that the book he’s talking about looks much closer to an operating systems textbook that uses OS X as a case study than any sort of user-guide to the OS.
